Colombiatex de las Americas, the most important textile and garment trade show in Latin America, will open in Mendellin, Colombia, on January 23, 2018. The theme is "Open Your Eyes." This will be a three-day show. Global exhibitors and nearly 15,800 buyers in more than 550 countries are expected to participate in the show. This is the 30th exhibition, which will become an important platform for the supply chain of the textile and garment industry. It will provide an important venue for business and interaction, fashion and knowledge.

Brazil has been invited to host the event in order to showcase its fashion industry and create new opportunities. The event will have a circular plaza where the graphic designer's artistic talent will be highlighted. This innovative plaza will look for 60 designers to showcase.

Techno Space, a showcase for textile technology and the latest in textile machinery, will also be part of this exhibition.

Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the "Trends Forum" (Trends Forum), which will become one of the characteristics of the show. A variety of textiles will be displayed here in order to identify the spring 2018 trends and to promote their development through commercial displays.

To commemorate the "denim" and its innovations, organizers will celebrate the "Cowboy Day" the day after the event. They invited Colombians to visit the fair wearing their best denim.
